Sodam Catering Co. is dedicated to environmental stewardship, adopting sustainable practices throughout our catering and restaurant operations to make a positive impact on the planet. Our team is educated in identifying compostable materials and the proper methods to compost our waste. This enables us to responsibly compost any remaining food that is not suitable for donation to food shelters.

Our Green Initiatives Include:

  • Recycling: We recycle all recyclable materials and use our cooking oil to produce biofuel.
  • Sustainable Products: Our paper products are 100% compostable. We choose aluminum over plastic or glass for our prepackaged beverages, including water bottles.

  • Energy Conservation: We minimize the use of gas-powered equipment and incorporate energy-efficient lighting in our warehouse, offices, and commissary. Motion sensor lights are installed in our offices and restrooms to reduce energy consumption.

  • Local Sourcing: We prioritize local suppliers to decrease emissions from transportation.
